Shipping Policy

Overview

This policy explains how orders placed through tezukuridejapon.com.au are processed, shipped, and delivered within Australia. Each piece we carry is handcrafted, and processing times reflect the care taken in preparing your order for transit.

Order Processing Time

Ready stock: Please allow 2 - 3 business days for your order to be processed and dispatched.

Made to order: Lead times vary by product. Current estimates are 8 to 10 weeks from order to dispatch. Enquire with us directly for a current estimate on your specific piece. We will be in touch with you throughout the process.

Shipping Destinations

We currently ship to addresses within Australia only. International shipping is not yet available.

Shipping Methods

We use trusted couriers, selected according to the size and weight of your order, to deliver each piece safely. Every delivery requires a signature on receipt - we track each piece until it's safely in your hands.

PO Boxes and Parcel Lockers

As all deliveries require a signature on receipt, we're currently unable to deliver to PO Boxes or unattended parcel lockers. Please provide an address where someone will be available to accept the delivery.

Delivery Timeframes

Once dispatched, most ready-stock orders arrive within 3 - 6 business days, depending on Australia Post delivery timeframes. Addresses in regional or remote areas should allow additional time.

For made-to-order pieces, the 8 - 10 week lead time covers production through to dispatch. Once dispatched, standard delivery timeframes apply.

Split Orders

If your order includes both ready-stock and made-to-order pieces, we will ship ready-stock items as soon as they are processed rather than holding them until your made-to-order piece is complete. You are welcome to request combined shipping instead -  please let us know at the time of order.

Shipping Costs

Orders of $200 or more ship free of charge. Orders under $200 are charged a flat rate of $15. This applies across all product categories.

Showroom Pick Up

Orders can also be collected in person from our showroom in Carrum Downs, by appointment. Select this option at checkout and we will be in touch to arrange a time.

Order Tracking

You will receive a tracking number by email once your order has been dispatched, allowing you to monitor delivery progress.

Address Changes Before Dispatch

If you need to update your delivery address after placing an order, contact us as soon as possible. We can amend the address if your order hasn't yet been dispatched. However, once dispatched, changes may not be possible.

Incorrect or Incomplete Delivery Details

Please check your shipping address carefully at checkout. If a parcel is returned to us as undeliverable due to an incorrect or incomplete address, we will contact you to arrange redelivery, and an additional shipping fee may apply.

Damaged or Lost Items

Every piece is packed to withstand transit, however, if your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of receiving the delivery with photos of the item and packaging so we can arrange a resolution.

If your order does not arrive within the expected timeframe, please contact us and we will follow up with the courier on your behalf.

Customs and Duties

As all orders are fulfilled and delivered within Australia, no customs charges or import duties apply.
